teen boot camp

Teen Boot Camps are short-term; high-intensity programmes that help motivate young people, and are especially designed to help those who are struggling in their community, home or school. In times of crisis a barrage of emotions often overwhelms parents; the confusion and desperation associated with a troubled teen can be extremely trying. The length of stay in short term boot camp is generally from 1-3 weeks. Our Boot camp is emotionally challenging and generates positive results for both the young people who take part, their parents, families and local communities. The intensive mind-changing programme focuses on:

  • Increasing self esteem
  • Improving confidence
  • Encouraging self belief
  • Learning to set goals
  • Improving self motivation

  • This is achieved by improving confidence in the young person’ own abilities through a variety of activities and experiential learning. This results in a greater understanding of their perception of self, identifying which behaviours need to change and improving self awareness. Boot camps are physically and mentally challenging programs that require constant supervision. Generally, boot camps are a wilderness type program where the youth live in military type tents or dorm style accommodation. Boot camps will help strip away old attitudes and develop new ones.
